Administer Licenses and Users
- About administrating licenses, users, and roles
In order to set up user access to Direct functionality in your NetSuite instance, you must configure multiple settings per user. With the proper NetSuite credentials, you can administer these settings in a NetSuite instance with the Direct bundle installed. Repeat these procedures every time you add a new user to the Direct solution.
- Configure a DSI Employee user for DSI Direct
DSI Employee users have access to all DSI Direct for NetSuite functionality and consume a NetSuite license.
- Configure a Customer User for Direct
Customer users have access to Direct for NetSuite apps but no administrator features. DSI Customer users do not consume a NetSuite license.
- Grant the DSI Direct roles access to all subsidiaries
After installing the Direct bundle, you must grant all active DSI user roles access to all subsidiaries in your NetSuite instance. If the role has view-only access to one or more subsidiaries in the NetSuite instance, then app transactions may not complete successfully.
- Direct role permissions
You must ensure that each NetSuite user is assigned to a role with specific NetSuite permissions in order for the users to access Direct apps.
