Configure a customer record in NetSuite for DSI Direct
Before you can configure a DSI Customer user to access DSI Direct, you must first create a NetSuite customer record with a specific role and settings.
Prerequisite: Configure the shared user for customer access.
To configure a customer record to use with DSI Direct, complete the following steps.

In NetSuite, create or edit the Customer record that you want to configure as a DSI Customer user.

On the Customer page, for Type, select or verify Individual.

For Email, enter the email address that the customer will use to log in.

On the Custom tab, enable the Is DSI Customer check box.

On the Access tab, complete the following substeps.

Enable the Give Access check box.

For Role, select DSI Direct Customer Portal.

Enable the Manually Assign or Change Password check box.Step InformationNote:Alternately, to allow users to enter their password to gain access to this new account, select Send Email Notification.

For Password and Confirm Password, enter the password that the customer will use to log in.

After configuring all other desired information for the customer account, select Save.
Postrequisite: Grant a Customer user access to Direct.
