• About Operational Insights
  Operational Insights, part of Supply Chain Insights, provides visibility into your Supply Chain apps, including employee performance, inventory movement by item and location, duration/time spent on activities, data error identification for troubleshooting, and more. With the right information at hand, you are empowered to diagnose friction points, monitor trends, and make informed decisions about your inventory operations.
• Implement the Operational Insights solution
  Operational Insights requires several installation and configuration procedures before the solution can operate in the field.
• Solution components
  The Operational Insights solution includes the following components that operate in sequential order.
• Architecture diagram
  The following diagrams illustrate the flow of captured insights data, from the initial capture in an instrumented warehouse app, to the dynamically updated visualizations presented in the Supply Chain Insights dashboards in Platform Manager. The system uses AES-256 encryption technology to secure your data from end-to-end. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol is used to transmit your data.
• About the OpInsights subapp
  The Operational Insights Analytics solution includes the OpInsights subapp that you must incorporate into the business logic of each warehouse app for which you want to collect analytics data. The solution also includes an optional subapp, DSI_WorkShift, that determines the current work shift based on configuration element settings and device time.
• About the Business Intelligence fact tables on the Analytics Server
  The Business Intelligence fact tables play a crucial role in storing and displaying insights information about the collected usage data. Your solution includes fact tables in the Analytics Server that are unique to your environment. These tables cannot be viewed directly, but the visualizations in the dashboards allow you to view trends and statistics about the collected data stored in the fact tables.
