Configure apps
About app configuration
Configuration elements allow you to configure the behavior and appearance of Advanced Inventory apps.
Apps in your environment may contain configuration elements that allow user override. This option is available if the system administrator enables it in Platform Manager.
If a configuration element allows user override, you can edit that configuration element value from Mobile Client. Editing a configuration element only changes that value on your local installation of Mobile Client, and only for your user account. This does not affect other users.
If you edit a configuration element from the Mobile Client menu, you must select the app for which you want to make the edit. The next time you run the app, it uses the value you selected. A system administrator can also allow you to edit configuration elements from within an app.
You can also restore all user-defined settings back to their default values.
For information on editing the configuration elements in your specific environment, contact your system administrator.
For example, the Upper Application Background Color configuration element allows you to change the background color for the Inventory Inquiry app. After you change the background color, Inventory Inquiry uses the new background color the next time you run it. This only changes the background color for Inventory Inquiry.
