Temporarily Reset a ScanWorkX License
If your ScanWorkX license has expired, or is corrupted or missing, the ScanWorkX Client License tool can create one user license. The temporary user license gives you the opportunity to generate your long-term license request. The process requires the latest version of the ScanWorkX Client License tool, so you might need to request an updated MSI from Cloud Inventory® in order to complete this procedure.

Open the ScanWorkX Client License program.

Ensure the ScanWorks Server and ScanWorkX Port fields are correctly populated.Expected ResultNote:The temporary license is generated for the server listed in the field. If the server field is incorrect, you will generate a temporary license for a different server than yours.

Ensure the grid in the center of the form empty.

Select the empty grid.

Press the Control+Alt+i keys to initialize the temporary licensing process.Expected ResultA window opens warning you that proceeding relicenses your ScanWorkX application to one user and removes the licenses for other ScanWorkX applications.

Select OK.
This generates a ScanWorkX license for your login. At this point, generate a license request .xml file and send the request to Cloud Inventory® so you can return to using ScanWorkX as quickly as possible.
