Controls
- Form controls
Forms can use the following form controls. Beginning in 9.0 SP11, you can use form controls in form components.
- Data controls
Forms can have the following data controls. Beginning in 9.0 SP11, you can use data controls in form components.
- About form and data control properties
You can use the Property Editor to assign property values to a form or data control. This allows you to modify aspects of the control, including the layout, behavior, and appearance. You can also select multiple controls to set values for properties that the controls have in common.
- Inspect a control property
You can select a control property from the Property Editor to view information about that property, including the source of the property value. It will show the inheritance chain from the style definition as well as any overrides that are defined at the form level. The Property Inspector information should be read from the top down, and the last row in the dialog matches the value shown for the control property in the form editor.
- Set common properties for controls
You can select multiple controls to set values for properties that the controls have in common. For example, you can use this feature to specify the same font family and foreground color for all label and button controls. If your form uses a tab container, you can only select controls from one tab at a time. Beginning in 9.0 SP11, you can edit a form component to set properties for its controls. After you add a component to a form, you can override its properties from the form editor.
- Delete property overrides from a control
You can edit control properties from the property editor. Modified properties override any default values for the property that were set in a style group, a parent platform view, or a form component. You can remove overrides from individual controls to use the properties from the style group, parent platform view or form component.
- Add a control as a favorite
You can add form and data controls to your Favorites tab. This allows you to add the control to a form or form component from your Favorites tab.
- Remove a control from your favorites
You can remove form and data controls from your list of favorites if you no longer want them to display on the Favorites tab.
- Color selection options
You can use the following options in the color picker window.
