About Mobile Client Profile Settings
Use the Mobile Client Profile Settings to create multiple configuration packages for your Mobile Client.
By using Mobile Client Profiles, you streamline your setup process by enabling all settings from a list of established options.
Note:Mobile Client Profile functionality is available for only Android devices in MEP 9.5 SP 5.
Mobile Client Profiles
You can create pre-set configurations in the Mobile Client Profiles Settings. The pre-set configurations can be used in different instances of MEP to avoid having to manually enter the configurations in each instance.
Create a Mobile Client Profile

Access Admin > Configuration > Mobile Client Profile Settings.

Select Add Profile.

Enter the appropriate information.

Select Save.
Use a Mobile Client Profile in a different MEP instance

Access Admin > Configuration > Mobile Client Profiles.

Select Download Profiles.

Save the file to a shared location.

Log in to your other MEP instance.

Access Admin > Configuration > Mobile Client Profiles.

Select Upload Profiles.Step InformationNote:Uploading the file is a complete rewrite of any existing data. This process does not merge new data.

Choose the file from the shared location.

Select Upload.
Use Mobile Client Profiles on Android Mobile Client

Open Android Mobile Client.

Enter the communications settings like normal and log in. Upon logging in, the Mobile Client Profile Settings will be downloaded to your device.Expected ResultResult: The Mobile Client Profile Settings download to your device.

On subsequent logins, choose a preconfigured profile from the drop-down list.
Mobile Client Profile Settings fields
Profile Name
The unique title you give to the particular Mobile Client Profile.
Host Address
The IP address or host address of the server you want to connect to.
Port
The TCP/IP port number.
HTTP Port
The port at which your service is listening for incoming requests.
Response Time-Out
The amount of time, expressed in seconds, that a device waits for a response from the application server before it sends the application server a transaction request.
Comm Time-Out
The amount of time, expressed in seconds, that the device waits for a transaction request to complete.
