JD Edwards EnterpriseOne UDC Setup Guide
- About User Defined Codes (UDC)
This setup guide explains how to configure user-specific values in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for use by apps.
- Setup overview
To integrate apps with your instance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, you must define types and values for User Defined Codes.
- Verify and add types of User Defined Codes
- Define the Custom Decimal Places UDC (D3N/CP)
The Custom Decimal Places UDC defines the number of zeros to display after a decimal in quantities such as Lines, Prices, and Costs. You should configure these values to match the settings in your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne instance.
- Define the Decimal Place Quantity UDC (D3N/DP)
The Decimal Places UDC defines the number of decimal places apps will use in quantity calculations.
- Define the Users UDC (D3N/XU)
The Users UDC ties the Mobile Enterprise Platform username to the correct UDC table. It leverages the address book, branch plant, and version information UDCs, and acts as a cross-reference file for usernames. Multiple users can leverage the same cross-reference file.
- Define the DSI User Version UDC (D3N/Z(X))
The User Version UDC lists user-specific values and ties Mobile Enterprise Platform to the users in the UDC table. A app fetches user values based on the tie between the D3N/Z(X) and D3N/XU tables. The same Z(X) code, such as ZZ, can apply to all users. Or, your business requirements might require multiple Z(X) codes (such as ZZ, Z1, and Z2).
- Default values for User Defined Codes
apps that are integrated with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne rely on specified entries and values. If a user is not configured within the UDC table, a app uses the default values outlined in the following table..
