- Integrate DSI Platform with E-Business Suite
Mobile Enterprise Platform supports integration with the E-Business Suite ERP system using a combination of the Procedure Connector for Oracle and a series of API functions designed by Advanced Inventory for use with desktop and mobile apps.
- Configure the Procedure Connector for Oracle
The Procedure Connector for Oracle transmits data among components and the Oracle enterprise software. When configuring this connector, specify the connection string and whether or not to log request/response documents.
- Register functions to the Procedure Connector for Oracle
Registering functions provides access to the functions to be called in apps. A function can be registered any time, but it must be registered before creating an app that uses the function. .
- Test functions
You can test a registered function from the Registered Functions page or the Function Details page. The Test page is also used to test service definitions.
- Add a Function Call element
You can use a function call to pass data to and from your enterprise application programs.
- Edit source elements
Source elements can be edited in an application, subapp, or include on the respective flowchart editors.
- Function Call element settings
The following settings are available for the Function Call element.
- Publish an app
App publishing is the process of validating and generating a version of the app that devices can execute. The publishing process must validate all app references, formula usage, and environment-sensitive data. After the publishing succeeds, a device app file is produced. The app file can then be transferred to a device and executed. All validation occurs during the publishing process, not during the app creation process.
- Run an app
You can run apps to do specific tasks. Each app offers unique capabilities and transactions determined by the app's design in Platform Manager. For information on running a specific app in your environment, contact your system administrator.
