Install ERP client software
Install the JDE Interop Client for the EnterpriseOneXML Connector
The EnterpriseOne XML Connector requires the installation of the JDE Interoperability (Interop) Client. The Interop client is essentially a set of DLLs based on the JDE tools release that enable the Advanced Inventory application server to create, send, and receive API calls via the XML protocol. This allows Mobile Enterprise Platform to create and send XML formatted request documents to the EnterpriseOne Enterprise/Application server that process the XML workload. The Interop Client must be installed on all Advanced Inventory Application and Support Services servers.
To install the JDE Interoperability Client for the EnterpriseOneXML Connector, complete the following steps.
Important:The required ERP client software varies based on your organization's requirements. If your application server does not need to connect to EnterpriseOne, do not install the JDE Interop Client.
-
Determine the version of your JDE EnterpriseOne installation, and the tools release it is running on.
-
Locate the DLLs that are required for your JDE version and tools release. For a list of DLLs that are required for each version, refer to JDE EnterpriseOne DLLs.
-
In the root drive of the data collection server, create a directory called E1InteropClient.Step InformationNote:The specific name and location of this directory are not critical. However, the accurate update of the System Path Statement below is critical.
-
Copy the required DLLs into the E1InteropClient directory.Step InformationNote: If the files are not available on the deployment server in \\(servername)\(JDEVersion)\system\bin32, they will be located in the Windows\System32 directory of the deployment server. The DLLS in this folder are Microsoft Visual C files that are required for the Interop Client to function properly.
-
To add the path for the Interop client to the beginning of the system path statement, go to Application Servers System Properties and select the Advanced tab.
-
Under System variables, select Path, and then select Edit.
-
At the beginning of the path statement, enter the Interop Client path.ExampleExample:
-
Restart the system.
