About the Route Sales with Route Management solution
The Route Sales with Route Management solution provides a delivery truck driver with a schedule of delivery activities for a work day, and enables the driver to complete scheduled deliveries, create sales orders, process returns, and even transfer inventory, all while making the delivery stop.
The Route Sales Dashboard provides an intuitive starting point to quickly view and complete the sales activities for the route, including the option to map the next delivery stop.
Regardless of online connectivity, the driver can complete scheduled and unscheduled tasks while at the customer location. If offline updates occur, the device retains the updates locally. Then, when online connectivity is restored, the updates will be synced with the middle tier, and then with SAP HANA, through data replication.
Route schedules
In the Route Sales with Route Management solution, the daily schedules used by the Route Sales app are created and organized in the Route Management app. Typically, an office worker creates the schedule in the Route Management app, while a delivery truck driver uses the Route Sales app.
Customer templates
Route Sales also supports the use of customer sales templates that are created in Route Management. These templates allow you to use predefined records of common customer needs to streamline the sales order process while on the sales route. For information on how to use the Route Management app to create route schedules or customer templates, refer to About Route Management in the Route Management documentation.
Sales orders
Two sales order types, sales orders (OR) and return authorizations (RMA), can be created and modified within the Route Sales app. These documents are created prior to a driver embarking on a sales route and are added to the driver's scheduled delivery stops.
