Create a label from a template
The most common method used to create a new label is to start with one of the provided templates, and then make any needed changes. Enterprise Printing Platform comes with multiple demo labels that can be used as guides. Rulers are provided for assistance with placement in the designer, and lines on the rulers will show the current cursor location.
To use an existing label template to create a new label, complete the following steps in EPP.

Go to Develop > Label Designer.

On the left panel, double-click the name of the label template you wish to open.Expected ResultThe label template opens on the label design canvas.The Data Dictionary assigned to a label template is displayed in the header of the label canvas window next to the label template name, as well as on the Label Properties tab.

Once you select and open a template you can edit the label elements as needed.

Select File > Save As on the Label Designer main menu.

Define the following for the new label template.

A new name

Dimensions
-
A printer make/mode
Step InformationNote:Templates are associated with specific printers. If you have not made the printer model associated with the selected label template active by selecting it on the Printer Models window, you will get an error message. When using Save As to replicate an existing label template, the printer make and model options will be limited by elements already in the current label template design. Most printer models will only have very specific font and barcode options available. -
