Configure label printing integration with Enterprise Printing Platform
If your Direct for NetSuite solution includes the printing package, Direct users can print labels from apps in the solution. Printing also requires integration with your instance of DSI Enterprise Printing Platform (EPP) 9.8.3. You must configure the labels, printers, and integration in both Direct for NetSuite and EPP.
Prerequisites:

Your Direct solution includes label printing.

EPP 9.8.1 is installed and configured. Refer to the Enterprise Printing Platform Setup Guide.

In EPP, fully configure your instance and create the desired EPP printers and label templates.
To configure label printing for your Direct for NetSuite solution, complete the following procedures.

In EPP 9.8.3, verify the following setup configurations.

The Bridge Application is installed on-premises at each warehouse location where you want to print.Step InformationNote:This is necessary even when running a cloud-based installation of EPP.

Ensure the CA-signed SSL certificates are installed for EPP and every Bridge Application in the solution.

Ensure the EPP Webservice Front End is configured for your solution.

Obtain the EPP domain, port information, and location for your solution.

Obtain the Webservices Endpoint Directory, such as /DSIPrint/printservice/job.

Obtain the login credentials for the desired EPP administrator user.

Ensure that the EPP solution is active and fully functional.

In EPP, for each configured printer that you want to access using your Direct for NetSuite solution, complete the following substeps.

Obtain the exact name of the printer.

Obtain the name of the EPP server associated with the printer.

Optional. In EPP, obtain the exact name of each of the following transaction-specific labels that you want to use in your Direct for NetSuite solution.

Shipping label

Packing label

Receipt label

Item inquiry label

Customer-specific labels

In NetSuite, enable integrated shipping for each carrier shipping method for which you want to print shipping labels. Refer to Enable integrated shipping.

In NetSuite, in Configurations, Configure EPP communication settings.

In Configurations, Configure EPP printers.

In Configurations, Configure company-level label printing settings.

In Configurations, Configure app-specific printing behavior.

Optional. If you want to use ASN integration in your solution, in Configurations, Configure third-party ASN integration for Direct.

Optional. If you want to always use specific labels for shipping transactions with specific customers, in NetSuite, Configure a default shipping label for a customer.

Test your printing configuration using any of the printing apps, such as Inventory Inquiry.
