Menus
About menus
The SCPaaS™ portal contains menus that allow users to navigate to the pages in your tenant. You can customize the order of the menus for your tenant. This allows you to tailor the user interface to meet the requirements of your business.
Your available menu items display in a tree view. You can reorder the menus by dragging and dropping a menu item into a new location.
The menu in SCPaaS™ only displays menu items that are located within the first three levels of the tree view. If you nest a menu item four levels deep, that menu item does not display in the menu. Additionally, some menu items are always hidden by default, such as the User, Role, and Object menu items.
Menu items that are hidden can still be accessed from other locations in the user interface. For example, the User page is hidden in the menu structure, but you can access it when you add a user from the Users page. You can also add links to menu items from custom pages.
ACL considerations
The Access Control List (ACL) controls the level of access each role has to the Menu Item object, and to pages that use data from the Menu Item object. Your ability to view the Menu page, and to view or modify the order of pages in the menu, may be restricted based on the privileges granted to your role. For more information, refer to Objects and securables in the ACL.
