File Drop Location Settings no longer required to enable the SendEmail element
Applications that contain the SendEmail element no longer require gateway or local storage options to be enabled when sending a message that has no attachment. Access gateway or local storage options by selecting Admin > System Settings > Storage. The system settings page provides the option to define or deactivate the storage locations.
Improved password expiry handling
Nextworld EAP users now receive an error message in the mobile client when their password has expired. The mobile client now also includes functionality to change the password directly in the mobile client, and the password change updates throughout all applicable platforms.
Update .Net framework to latest release
.NET Framework 4.8 must be installed for MEP 25.1 to operate. If you do not have .NET Framework 4.8 installed, you must install it before upgrading to MEP 25.1.
Automatically assign mobile client license types
New functionality allows MEP to automatically assign license types to new users according to the information synchronized from the IdP service. To enable this functionality, access Admin > Configuration > IdP Group/Role Mappings. Select the issuing IdP and default license type from the dropdown lists.
Note:Once you enable this functionality, only new users have their license type synchronized. MEP does not resynchronize existing users automatically.
Disable role assignment for MEP users from IdP automation
When a user's role is assigned using the automation from the new IdP automation functionality, the option to manually change the user role is now disabled. This ensures no user role is mistakenly changed after automatic assignment.
AIM session assigns user credentials
For Nextworld EAP users, AIM sessions no longer run under only generic user credentials. When your policies require, AIM sessions now run under an authenticated Nextworld EAP credentialed user. In order to activate this configuration, select Admin > Configuration > AIM Sessions, and select the appropriate values under the Nextworld Authentication heading.
Search functionality for applications in Android Mobile Client
In the Android Mobile Client, users can now search for specific applications, versions, or both in the search field on the main application list page. This new functionality eliminates the need to scroll to find an application and streamlines application access for mobile device users.
Disable privacy policy dialog
MEP now offers the option to disable the privacy policy window, which opens the first time a user logs in to MEP or the mobile client. Disabling the privacy policy window automatically sets a user to "accept" status the first time they log in.
To enable this function, navigate to Admin > Configuration > System Settings > Privacy, then select the Disable Privacy Acknowledgement option.
Nextworld users synchronized according to role defined in MEP
Only Nextworld EAP users who have an assigned role in MEP's IdP Group/Role Mappings configurations are now synchronized between EAP and MEP. The synchronization functionality no longer coordinates deactivated users or users without a role in MEP.
