About the repository
The repository allows you to upload and store files such as images, pdfs, docx, xls, and more. After a repository item has been added, you can reference it in apps, and download it to devices.
In Platform Manager, you can upload a file as a repository item to add it to the repository. The repository lists files in alphabetical order by default. You can sort the repository by name, description, version number, common items, file size, or dimensions.
The repository stores the history of each file, and allows you to roll a file back to a previous version.
You can download a file to edit it locally, or to import the file to another Mobile Enterprise Platform instance.
In Mobile Client, a local repository path can be specified for file downloads. Files can also be manually copied to this local repository to be referenced.
9.0 SP6
Beginning in Mobile Enterprise Platform 9.0 SP6, the repository has been enhanced with a tree view, and additional options for uploading files.
A tree view has been added to the left of the list of files. The tree view allows you to show and hide folder contents, and create folder structures. You can create, rename, and delete folders, and move files between folders. You can also select a folder in the tree view to display the contents of that folder in the list.
You can also now upload .zip files and multiple files as repository items. If you upload a .zip file, it is added to the repository as a folder, and retains its contents.
