About the Corrections Workbench tool
The Corrections Workbench allows users to easily identify and select transactions with records in error. Users can work with all records of a specific transaction type, transactions processed by a specific data collection server, or transactions collected by a specific device.
The Corrections Workbench tool is set up using the enterprise system user defined codes. To set up this tool, you must assign the user ID and transaction IDs of the transactions that the user has authority to review and correct. You can assign up to 30 transactions to a user.
When assigning transaction IDs, you must abide by the following guidelines.

The first transaction ID must be entered in the first position of the Description column.

Use only uppercase letters to add all transaction IDs.

When adding transaction IDs, do not use spaces.
Define user defined codes
You can define user defined codes specific to your business operations, but most likely you only need to edit the existing user defined codes. When editing a code, it is extremely important that you know why you are making the change and how to do it. Typically, you are instructed by a Advanced Inventory consultant on what to change and how to change it.
To define user defined codes, complete the following steps.

Begin at a menu selection line. Enter UTY and press Enter or select OK.Expected ResultResult: The User Defined Code Types page displays.

Find a record to add, change or delete; enter an option number in the Option column, and press Enter.

In the Opt column of the chosen record, do one of the following.

Enter 2 to change the record.

Enter 4 to delete the record.

Enter 5 to view the record.

Press Enter.

Do one of the following.

If you started with a blank record, complete all fields and press Enter or select OK.

If you entered 2 to display this record, make your changes and press Enter or select OK.

For Action, do one of the following.

Enter A to add a new record.

Enter C to change an existing record.
-
Enter D to delete an existing record.
-
Enter I to create an inquiry on a specific record.

Setting up the Corrections Workbench Tool
The Corrections Workbench tool lets your users easily identify and select transactions with records in error. Through this tool your users can work with all records of a specific transaction type, transactions processed by a specific data collection server, or transactions collected by a specific device.
To set up the Corrections Workbench tool, complete the following steps.

On the enterprise system command line, type UDC and press Enter.Expected ResultResult: The User Defined Codes form displays.

Perform the following substeps.

For Action Code, enter 1.

For System Code, enter 68.
-
For User Defined Codes, enter CR.

Press Enter.
-
For Action Code, enter C and press Enter.

Perform the following substeps to define all users who will use the Corrections Workbench Tool.

For 10 Character code, enter the user ID for the user.

For Description, enter the two-character transaction ID the user has authority to review and correct.Step InformationNote:

Each transaction ID must be entered using only capital letters and no spaces.

You can enter a maximum of 15 transaction IDs.
