Cycle Count User Guide
About Cycle Count
The Cycle Count app facilitates the inventory counting process. It helps you identify count items, filter the items by subinventory and locator, and prompts you to scan or enter each inventory item quantity included in the count.
You can use this app to complete a scheduled cycle count in Oracle Cloud. This app allows you to count one item at a time as you work through the list of required items.
Count items for a cycle count
You can use Cycle Count to record counted warehouse inventory for a cycle count that has been assigned to you. You can select F3 at any time to exit the application.
To count an item for a cycle count, complete the following steps in the app.

For Organization, verify or enter your organization.Step InformationNote: Depending on the app's configuration settings, this prompt may not display. If this occurs, the app selects the default organization configured in Mobile Enterprise Platform.

For Cycle Count, scan or enter the desired cycle count.Expected ResultResults:

The app validates and retrieves the count information from Oracle Cloud.

All available count sequences for the specified app are loaded into the app and saved to the local database table.

If the organization is subinventory-controlled, the app displays a list of the required unique subinventories to count.

If Subinventory displays, select the desired subinventory from the list.

If Locator displays, select the desired locator from the list.Step InformationNote: This prompt only displays for locator-controlled subinventories.Expected ResultResults: Depending on the app configuration, one of the following results occurs.

If the app is configured to display a list of required items, a list of items displays.

If the app is configured for blind counting, a text entry field displays.

Depending on the app configuration, complete one of the following actions.

If the app displays a list of items, either select an item from the list, or select Additional Item and then manually scan or enter the unexpected item.

If the app displays an Item Number prompt, scan or enter the counted item number.

If the item is lot-controlled, for Lot Number, scan or enter the lot number associated with the item.Step InformationNote:This prompt only displays for lot-controlled items.

For Quantity (Ea), enter the total quantity counted at the location.Step InformationNote:You must enter a quantity equal to zero or higher.

If the item is serial-controlled, for Serial Numbers, complete one of the following actions.

To enter serial numbers one at a time, scan or enter each desired serial number.

To specify a range of serial numbers, select F2 and enter the start and end numbers for the range.
Expected ResultResults:-
The app records the inventory item count to Oracle Cloud.

The app removes the counted item from its list of remaining items to count.

The item entry screen displays again. Depending on app configuration, either the list or the text field may display.

After picking all items in a specific warehouse location, on the item list screen, select either Subinventory Complete or Locator Complete to close out the associated warehouse location.Expected ResultResults:

When you complete a location, the location no longer displays as a choice in the app.

Depending on app configuration, if any scheduled items in the location were not counted before the location closed, then the app either records the quantity for those items as zero or as "Not Process".

Results: The app transaction updates various settings in Oracle Cloud. In addition, the app creates a record of the completion transaction in Oracle Cloud. Refer to Updated Cycle Count settings in Oracle Cloud.

The Cycle Count app allows you to count items that are associated with scheduled cycle counts in Oracle Cloud. Every transaction modifies specific data records in Oracle Cloud.
The app can modify the following data records in Oracle Cloud.
Cycle Count settings
The app adjusts the following cycle count settings. To view the status of a cycle count and approve the count results, go to Inventory Management > Tasks > Counts > Approve Count Sequences.
Count Sequence Status
For any sequence that was successfully counted, the status updates to Pending Approval.
Count Quantity
The quantity updates to match the quantity entered in the app.
Counted By
The transaction records the Oracle Cloud user who counted the sequence.
Count Date
The transaction records the date of the count.
Item
If the count discovered unexpected items in the location, the transaction records the additional item in a new line for the location, along with the associated count quantity.
