Install Route Management
This guide explains the installation instructions for the Route Management app.
Prerequisites:

Mobile Enterprise Platform 9.0 SP3 or later with all available hotfixes applied

SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL (cloud) database available for the creation of several database objects used by the application

Knowledge of Mobile Enterprise Platform administration
To install Route Management, complete the following steps in Platform Manager.

Add the following database connection strings with the specified IDs. For steps, refer to Add a database connection string.Step Information
String ID Purpose Notes MEPDB_MTDATA Mobile Enterprise Platform Middle Tier Tables Use the specified ID because it is used extensively in the app's SQL statements.MEPDB_SYSDATA Mobile Enterprise Platform System Tables Use the specified ID and set the environment as *SYSTEM. -
Import the MOBILEAppsText_en.xml localization file. For steps, refer to Import language text.

Upload the DSI_ROUTE_MANAGEMENT_1.0.3.zip project file. For steps, refer to Upload a project.Step InformationAttention:To prevent data loss, select Keep if prompted to Keep or Replace an existing database table.Note:When selecting the middle tier database connection string, select the MEPDB_MTDATA middle tier tables.

Create database views by completing the following substeps.

Upload the zBUILD_RM_TABLES.clientapp file by navigating to Develop > Application Studio. Select Upload Application from the Application menu.

Publish zBUILD_RM_TABLES by hovering over the version number, then selecting Publish from the context menu.

In Mobile Client, run the zBUILD_RM_TABLES app.Expected ResultStep result: Running the zBUILD_RM_TABLES app creates the VIEW_CUSTOMERTEMPLATES and VIEW_ROUTESETUP database views this app requires.

Register the VIEW_CUSTOMERTEMPLATES and VIEW_ROUTESETUP database views.

Publish the Route Management app. For steps, refer to Publish an app.
