About log settings
You can define a number of log settings for logs across the EPP application, including for Enhancement Engine.
Log files are saved in the database and can be viewed in the Admin menu. This enables you to search for logs using many different types of criteria. In addition, you can create .zip files of the logs and purge logs from the database. You can print these files. Each log file includes a minimum of a date/time stamp, event ID, and IP address.
Logs can also be set for storage in the logs folder within the directory where you installed EPP.
You can control the level of logging for the following types of events.
-
System events
-
Security events
-
License events
-
Settings/configuration events
-
Label Print Request events
-
File Poller events
-
Socket Listener events
-
Print Management events
You can define when log files are purged, based upon a time period or file size. If you wish to define log purge actions based on time period you may choose daily, weekly or monthly schedules to take action. When a log purge occurs, log files are copied to a backup and logs are cleared.
You can define the maximum number of Enhancement Engine success and failure logs to maintain, as well as the number of days you want to retain them.
