Configure file drop settings
File Drop settings provide functionality for accepting *.xml and *.uld (a flat file format) files. Note that it is best practice when sending .xml requests that you include only one label per request.
To configure file drop settings, complete the following steps in EPP.

From the application header, select Admin > System Configuration > Input Agents, and double click File Drop.

To indicate the startup behavior of the File Drop Agent, under Startup Type, select one of the following types.

If you want the agent to start when the application starts, select Automatic.

If you want the agent to start when you select Start Agent on the File Drop Settings window, select Manual.Note:To stop the agent, select Stop Agent on the File Drop settings window.

To turn off File Drop Agent functionality until you reset the Startup Type to Automatic or Manual, select Disabled.

To indicate the path to the directory that will be polled for printing, select Polling Directory.Expected ResultResult: If the directory does not exist, a warning message will be displayed.

Optional. To indicate the duration that the agent rests in between looking for files in the polling directory, under Polling Frequency, enter an integer value.Step InformationNote:The minimum value for this field is one. There is no maximum value.

Optional. To save files to use for reprint at a later date, select Save Files for Reprint.Expected ResultResult: Files will be saved in the fileDropArchive folder in the directory where you installed Enterprise Printing Platform.

Optional. If you want files to be purged after a specific amount of time has elapsed, complete the following substeps.

Select Enable Purging.

To define the number of days files are saved before they are purged, under Save Files for # of Days, enter an integer value.Step InformationNote:There is no maximum value for this setting.

To define the hour when files will be purged, under Hour to Purge, enter an integer value from 0 to 23.

Optional. To immediately delete any files in the fileDropTemp directory, select Purge.Expected ResultResult: This purge action is initiated regardless of other scheduled purges.

Select Save.
