Data sources
About data sources
A data source contains information about a database and provides an interface between the database and Enhancement Engine.
You add a data source to Enterprise Printing Platform to connect to an Oracle, MS SQL Server, or MySQL Database Management System. After a data source has been added, use Enhancement Engine to access the data source directly by name in functions you write that apply data transformation to incoming label data for enhanced label output. For more information, see About Enhancement Engine.
Utilize the Data Sources setup page to configure a data source and test the connection between EPP and the data source.
Add data source
Add a data source to EPP to provide an interface between an Oracle, MS SQL Server, or MySQL Database Management System (DBMS) and Enhancement Engine.
To add a data source, complete the following steps in EPP.

Go to Admin > Data Sources.
-
Select Add.
-
Complete the following steps.
-
Enter a Name for the data source.
-
Select a Database Management System from the Server Type list.
