Configure a mobile device to launch DSI Direct for DSI Employee users
We recommend creating two shortcuts on the home screen of each device that you want to access and run Direct for NetSuite apps. This enables you to quickly access the required webpages. For DSI Employee users, the first shortcut should link to the standard NetSuite Customer Login Portal screen, and the second shortcut should link to the Direct App Menu in your NetSuite instance. After creating these shortcuts, DSI Employee users can use the first link to log into their NetSuite user account, and then use the second link to open the list of Direct apps.
Prerequisites:

Either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari is installed on the device.

The Direct for NetSuite solution is installed on the desired NetSuite instance. Refer to Install the bundle in NetSuite.

Your NetSuite user account has access to a role that can open Direct apps, such as DSI_MobileClient_User.
To create the two recommended shortcuts for a DSI Employee user, complete the following steps on the mobile device.

On your device, open your browser app.Step InformationNote:This process requires either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

In the browser app, in the navigation bar, go to https://system.netsuite.com/pages/login.jsp.Step InformationNote:This URL leads to the NetSuite Customer Login Portal screen.

While on the NetSuite Customer Login Portal screen, in the settings menu for your browser, complete the appropriate following action.

For Google Chrome, select Add to Home screen, type NetSuite Login, and select Add.

For Mozilla Firefox, in the Page menu, select Add to Home Screen, type NetSuite Login, and select Add.

For Safari, select Add to Home Screen, type NetSuite Login, and select Add.
Expected ResultResult: The browser creates a hyperlinked icon to the NetSuite Customer Login Portal on the device home screen. -

Test the created link to ensure that it leads to the NetSuite Customer Login Portal.

Log in to the NetSuite account that you want to access Direct from this device.Expected ResultResult: The first time you log in to NetSuite from this device, NetSuite prompts you to enter additional security information and to select your role.

On the Additional Authentication Required screen, under Change Role, select the desired NetSuite role that can access Direct, such as DSI_MobileClient_User.Step InformationNote:In order to accurately select this role, we recommend using the browser's zoom feature.

Answer the displayed security question and select Submit.

In NetSuite, go to Direct > DSI Apps > DSI App Menu.Step Information

While on the Direct App Menu screen, in the settings menu for your browser, complete the appropriate following action.

Test the created link to ensure that it leads to the Direct App Menu.
Result: After a DSI Employee user opens the first shortcut, the NetSuite Customer Login Portal displays. After the user logs in, the user can then open the second shortcut to display the Direct App Menu.
